"My paintings are inspired by a love of the Ryedale countryside and the Yorkshire coast. I am particularly drawn to the beautiful effects of natural light upon the landscape. I incorporate into my paintings my interest in rural architecture and a fascination with the mysterious qualities of natural and reflected light at the edges of the day.
